Liverpool 2 – Deep Water Container Terminal

Liverpool 2 will enable the container handling capacity at the Port of Liverpool to be doubled from 750,000 teu to 1.5million teu per annum.

The project will create a new quay wall, approximately 854 metres in length from the South West corner of the Royal Seaforth Dock and the formation of a berthing pocket on the seaward side of the wall. The project will also extend the Bootle Northern outflow sewer and create a new public footpath to the Northern extent of the Port.
