With effect from 1st January 2017 the charging structure for Imported products of Animal Origin will be increased to £7.63. per ton.
The Minimum amount will increase to £46.64 and the Maximum will increase to £356.19.
This is in respect of all imports arriving on or after 1st January 2017.

Changes in Veterinary checks from 1 January 2017 2016/1196 - Composite products and foodstuffs
With effect from January 1st 2017 there will be some changes to legislation that may affect you or your customers when COMMISSION IMPLEMENTING DECISION (EU) 2016/1196 of 20 July 2016 amending the Annexes to Decision 2007/275/EC comes into force.

Amendment to Commission Decision 2007/275 and Regulation 759/2016.
With effect from 1st January 2107 the following commodities will be subject to Veterinary Checks at the Border Inspection Post and will therefore require a valid Health Certificate and CVED (as applicable).
Meat Extracts, Meat Powders and Broths will be regarded as meat products
Cuttlefish bones with flesh on bone.
Alcoholic Beverages with POAO will be treated as composite products. The POAO needs to be from an approved country with an approved Residue Plan.
